Nomination Facility

As per the Reserve Bank of India Amended Nomination Facility in Deposit Accounts, Safe Deposit Lockers and Articles kept in Safe Custody with the Banks (Directions, 2025) the following provisions are applicable:

  1. Customers may nominate one or more individuals for their accounts, lockers, or articles, with clearly defined share percentages.
  2. Customers may appoint successive nominees, where the nomination will be effective in the order of priority mentioned in the nomination details.
  3. The nomination will apply to all deposit accounts, lockers, and articles unless otherwise specified by the customer.
  4. In case of minor account holders, the nomination form must be signed by the person legally authorized to act on behalf of the minor.
